Six persons including two students have been arrested in the Mitiyagoda area in connection to G.C.E. O/L examination irregularities. It has been revealed that they were apprehended following an inquiry into a complaint that two different individuals sitting in for the History exam paper instead of the applicants.
The two G.C.E Ordinary Level applicants from the Weragoda Vijayaba M.V. School, Mitiyagoda, two individuals who sat for the History paper in replace, the Grama Sevaka officer, who is reported to have assisted in preparing the forged National Identity Cards (NIC) and another individual involved in the incident have all been arrested, the police revealed.
Following the arrests the suspects had been presented to court. The two students and the two persons who sat for the exam instead have been released on bail; however the remainders including the Grama Sevaka officer were remanded till the 21st, police stated. adaderana
