Sri Lanka Telecom is to introduce new price packages soon to its customers offering more value added services such as ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) that enables faster data transmission over computer telephone lines, IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) and several other Facilities.
Chief Executive officer of SLT Greg Young told that the new tariff structure which has been approved by TRC (Telecommunication Regulatory Commission), will be announced soon.
He said that SLT customers will be given an opportunity to get the new value added services under new price packages or to continue with their current package paying the old SLT tariffs. He said that the SLT plans to introduce online billing shortly for the benefit of customers.
“Today Telecommunication providers need to introduce new products that deliver fast speeds with superior quality and greater reliability. The key challenges in all of this are to provide consumers with more choices, increased flexibility and greater control”
